Romanian 3/4 DB for sale

This is a beautiful Romanian bass. It has a wonderful deep, rich sound..and it breaks my heart to part with it. Unfortunately, I'm moving to CA and am too afraid it may break if I try to ship it. I'm asking 2500 obo.

It is pictured with Supernil strings, but will come with steel strings (which are barely used) unless you prefer these. I never used the bow, but it does need to be rehaired. There are some nicks at the head, but otherwise is in great condition. I only used this bass at home, so it didn't endure any shows or travel.
Has an Underwood pickup and an adjustable bridge. Flat back. Also included is a soft case. Really this is a wonderful bass, and should make any player happy! I can deliver for a fee.

The strings look more like weedwackers than Supernils to me.

Its a Glasser- not sure as to model/type (as mentioned I"ve only played slap bass style, never played with the bow). However I really need to sell the bass, so I'd prefer to keep them together in case a buyer wants it w/ a bow.

Oh and they are Supernils... I have the packing they came in still! (currently holding the steel strings). But I'd prefer to keep these strings anyway for a future bass, unless a buyer really wants them.

It is not carved... and I haven't had a firm consensus on folks who i've taken it to as to the whether the top is carved or plywood- its likely a hybrid, but may be fully plywood. They have always commented though that it has a great full sound.

The edges say to me that the top is carved.

Wow -- Bump for a great price on a good bass.

It looks just like mine -- purchased at Lemur -- carved top & laminate back & sides?

Yup thats what everyone has agreed on that has seen it.
I wasn't given much info on it when I bought it...but its a great bass. Sounds wonderful and in great shape.

Only thing is I'm moving THIS WEEKEND!
So it really needs a new 'home' asap

The strings in the pic are weedwackers, not Supernils.

Supernils are roundwound.

You may have gotten wackers in a Supernil package.

Yeah I forgot I had taken pics before swapping the strings back out..

The bass comes w/ supernils, AND a set of steel strings.

The strings in the pictures I am keeping.
