For Sale: 1962 "Thin" Voit & Geiger $8500

1962 Voit & Geiger "Thin" Bass. Handcrafted by Wenzl Wilfer of Bubenreuth, Germany. Six of these unique basses were made back in the 1960's as a custom order for a shop on the east coast. It gets a remarkably BIG sound despite its narrow sides. Has a new sound post, planed fingerboard and new strings. It really is quite a unique and remarkable instrument - perfect for the traveling jazz musician (although I played it in university orchestra and it was great). I played on a Voight and Geiger that belonged to bassist in St. Louis. The sound that came from that little instrument was truly amazing. If you have smaller hands and arms this instrument was built for you.
