For Sale: 1995 Stephano Grecco Upright Bass

Hi

Need money right now so I am selling my spare bass. It is fully handcarved round maple back, spruce top. Tuners are ornamented on the edges. Back has inlay design at top. Model is Stephano Grecco. Violin Corners. Carbonite endpin
installed.

Bass was made by Rafael Storm circa 1995. I met Mr. Storm and showed it to him in 2005 after I restored and repaired the instrument. He recognized it as a bass he had carved for a college music major and that it had sold originally for $18,000.

Right now it is set up for orchestral playing but it is really an ideal bass for country western or jazz. It has a large boomy bottom that will penetrate through even amplified instruments.

Asking $10,500

Not for nuthin', I bought two violins from RJ Storm about 10 years ago. They are AWESOME! He always names his instruments - what did he put on the label? Each of my fiddles is named for someone he really liked.
