For Sale: Kolstein Bridge w/ Adjusters

Good Afternoon,

I have a Kolstein Bridge with wood adjusters that I would like to get rid of. I had purchased the bridge about a year ago from another TB'er with the intention of having it fit to my bass, but the bridge was just too wide and I ended up having to use a different one.

The bridge had been previously fitted for another bass, but was never modified or installed by me - just sat in a box on a shelf. I can take any photos you want or give bridge dimensions when I get home this evening

I'd be happy to see this go for $45, shipping included to US or Canada

Money Order Payments please, PM if interested

Thanks,

fm

So, you think it's for a 7/8 size bass? Wouldn't mind having a 3/4 if that's what it is. What kind of bass was it too wide for?

It was for an old Kay Bass, which I've been told require fairly narrow bridges due to the location of the bass bar - I don't know how true this is, but the bridge I had installed is quite a bit slimmer than the Kolstein one.

I can post the measurements if you like?

Hi All,

I had a couple of questions about the bridge, so I thought I'd take some measurements and post some photos to try and answer all questions at once - If you have others though, please let me know.

So, the bridge measures 5" from the center of once bridge foot to the center of the other and is 6 1/4" tall at the center with the adjusters all the way down and 7" at the center with the adjusters ALL the way up. Not sure if this makes it a 3/4 or 7/8's bridge or something else entirely....

Another thing I noticed when measuring different aspects of the bridge is that the adjuster wheels are not exactly the same size (See Photo). Adjuster 1 is between 3/16 and 1/4" and Adjuster 2 is just under 3/16" - Not sure if that will make a difference to anyone, not sure why this would have been modified in the first place....

thanks,

fm
