Shen 7/8ths Gamba w/Sloane Tuners

Hey All,

I'm trying to sell my 7/8ths Gamba-cornered Shen, made in 2000. It was formerly owned by Jeff Turner, principal bassist of the Pittsburgh Symphony. When Jeff bought it he upgraded it with fine-geared Sloane tuners and a Gotz endpin.

It's in great shape but has seen lots of action in its day. I have come a long way on this bass, and done a lot of learning on it, and it shows. Character...

This bass got me into several top-notch schools and summer festivals. It lasted me up until my junior year of college. I think this would be great for a freelancer, jazzer (sounds great plugged in), or high school student.

Asking $6,500 but I will certainly negotiate.

I've played this bass and can attest to it's great playability and sound. It has a massive bottom end, but doesn't lose any clarity up top.

A great bass for a great price if you ask me.
