I am very seriously pursuing an upgrade to a fully carved bass. It just seems like the time. So, the Shen is on the block. As much as I would like to keep it, I have to let it go to make an upgrade realistic.
This is a very nice bass for the money. Three years old. It plays well and sounds very good. Beautiful carved top. A few dings and smacks typical of a db that gets lugged around. A little rash on the top of the heal from a poorly designed stand and a little buckle rash on the inner top bout. Nothing serious at all. I can attempt to document any cosmetic issues in photo for serious inquirers.
Strings play a little over 41" and are new Belcantos (6 weeks old or so) .
Fully setup by Nick Lloyd. Adjustable bridge, etc.

The photos probably depict the bass to be a little shinnier than it really is. Plus, a couple hundred passes in and out of the bag have rubbed it down a bit as well. It isn't that shiny. This photo shows it to be little less glossy. It was taken about two weeks ago.

Not shown in the photos are $300+ worth of upgrades including a MP flamed claro walnut tailpiece with ultralight tailpiece cord and a KC Strings endpin. The endpin is a HUGE upgrade from the stock piece.
Messina bag in good shape will be included. Also includes extra set of plate tuners. I was waiting to change them at the next string change.
$2600.
No trade interest unless there is someone out there in need or want to downgrade. I would trade this bass and cash for the right bass.
For those locally interested, I live about 30 miles west of St. Louis city in St. Charles county.
