| Thomastik Belcanto Hello Everyone,
I've got two sets of Belcanto's below that I'd like to sell. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the string but if not, it's a great sounding arco string that has quickly become one of the industry standards. It's a warm sounding, relatively low-tension string that articulates well under the bow. It's also much better than most "arco strings" for pizz playing and while it wouldn't be my first choice on my jazz bass, it gets the job done when needed.
Prices include standard shipping via USPS first-class mail within the lower 48 states. Lemur is having a great sale on these strings right now so my prices reflect the fact that you can get the new strings for a better price than when I bought them. Thomastik Belcanto - Partial set (A-D-G) - $75 - about 6 - 7 months regular use. The silks are still intact and the windings are in good shape with no real oxidation but they've definitely seen some hours. Still perfectly usable - I didn't feel that they were dead sounding at all when I took them off the bass. I just usually change them out probably more often than I need to. Thomastik Belcanto - Full set w/ Ext. (C/E-A-D-G) - $110
- 5 - 6 months light use. I had these strings on my second bass and was looking for something a little different so I changed them out well before I thought the strings were done. The silks are in good shape as are the windings and these strings could still see several months use or more.
I live in NYC and could definitely meet with someone locally. Paypal is preferred and I live near a post office so fast shipping is never a problem. I do leave next week to go on tour from Sept 2nd -17th though but I'll be back on the 17th and can take care of anything else then.
Thanks,
Chris Finet
