Folks, for these prices there's minimal risk to you and not a lot of incentive for me to take pics. I'm hoping you'll just take my word for it.
Number One:
Hafler Pro 1200, $75.00 including postage to the Lower 48. 60w into 8 Ohms stereo, a full 170w into 8 Ohms bridged. 2rack x 9.5" deep. 1/4" and XLR balanced inputs. This is the piece which turned me on to the notion that really good-sounding stereo gear is more fun to listen to than generic crap. The
manual is right here. This mid-90s amp really delivers the gorgeous bottom which is the hallmark of the Hafler family (and no jokes about Mrs. Hafler, hear?). One or two modest scuffs but really quite clean. Straight off the tech bench. Tech says that the single standing wave on power-off is factory-spec normal function, but I don't want you to be surprised.
Number Two:
Sonance 260, $75.00 including postage to the Lower 48. 2rack x about 12" deep. Very nice "modern" amp, late 90s; toroidal transformer, "soft" on/off, etc. "Flat" and very, very low noise. Kewel adjustable auto-turn-on makes this a great "remote" amp if you want to separate your preamp from your power-amp. About the same power as the Hafler -- 60w into 8 Ohms, 100w into 4 Ohms. Clean condition except a very modest bend in the front panel on one of the rack ears -- you could see it or you could miss it if I didn't tell you. (The guy who sold it to me off EBay didn't mention it and I'd already posted the positive before I saw it . . . just lorvely . . . )
These two would actually make a very classy biamp setup for home studio.
Drop me a line, please. Email is best.
