| Velvet Animas
I've got a set of Velvet Animas that I bought from Phil's (Uncle Toad) string sale. They just weren't for me. As he stated when he sold them, they have many miles on them. After a couple of days, they held their pitch fairly well, so they still have some life left if you want to see what they might be like on your bass before buying a new set. Or, perhaps you use Animas and want a cheap emergency set to throw in your back in case of breakage. I should note that there was a separation in the winding about 2" or so above the bridge on the G string. Remembering that TBer and ham mad scientist Mike Ramsey repaired a Velvet string, I put a drop of Gorilla Glue on it and called it cool. It held fine during the time that I had these on my bass and seems to be fine other than the small blob on the string.
Anyway, if you're interested, I'll ship them anywhere in the US for $30.
