Very old fine double bass for sale

Very old italian/english italian style Testore model bass, @ 1800, violin corners, string lenght 41 1/2, body lenght 43', beautiful tone, easy to reach high register, very fine spruce, maple and sicamore. Price: 22,000, pretty below some appraisals. More pictures under request. Bas is in NY.

Hatpeg style tuners like that are usually more a German/Bohemian trait rather than Italian/English.

I wrote the guy a PM and suggested that the overall vibe of the bass is German but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Probably just busy.
