the best way of using pod x3 with an actual amp

hey,
got my pod x3 about a week ago, and everything that was about pod->mac, it worked great.

but when it plug it to my amp(mark bass lm2 with 115), it seems to sound not as healthy as the bass sounds when it goes directly to the amp..

of course, tried to shut the cab, but still it's not as good as it supposed to sound.
BTW, i've got an active Tobias killer b', and i wanted to know if it affects the signal of the device, and if i should drop a few DB's...

also, what would be the change in the OUTPUTS menu, between the combo/stack...

of course, if anyone has got something to add that might intrest me about it- feel free to add(:

thanks a lot, lior

how are you plugging in (what is the chain from your bass, the POD and the amp)? I also use the LMII head (with a 12 or 2x12 cab). I found that running through the effects loop provided the best true tone from the POD. The MBII significantly colors the sound. You may also need to PAD the input and switch from line to amp.

Don't have that head but have the BASSPODXTLive.

When plugging into a "normal" amp, it is best to find some way to bypass the front end(preamp of the amp you're plugging into). Some amps have "LINE IN" and "EFFECTS RETURN" inputs that feed directly to the power amp section.
I've a keyboard combo amp here with a(practice amp use) 3-way speaker built-in that has a LINE IN that I use.

The "PAD" is mentioned in the manuals(yeah I know. You have to read them 5 times and still find stuff). The PODS can overdrive the snot out of preamp inputs if you're not bypassing them by using a different input. It basically reduces the POD output to prevent distortion(bad sounding kind).
