Which Compressor?

So which M9 compressor are you other bassists using?

Anyone had any luck copping a Sansamp type tone out of an M9? I can't seem to even get close to a straight, slighty crunchy tube tone (similar to Duff McKagan in VR).

I think most of us like the tube compressor model, but its a really hot output with too few controls IMO. I had some luck with the tube overdrive model and EQing back in some lows that it cuts. On its own, the distortions and overdrive arent the greatest on bass. Thats why I use a Pork Loin instead.

When I was rocking my m9, I was using the tube comp, and for a sans amp type tone, I'd dial back the tubescreamer.
