the FBV shortboard MKII

Was looking around online and saw the new floor pedal. Says it works with the Lowdown series. Besides the LCD screen and button/chassis getting a new look, is there anything else that would make me want to upgrade to the new shortboard for my LD300Pro?

Not really. You can't take advantage of the extra switch.

The one thing it does have is a better feeling gas pedal. If you use volume and wah a lot, you may want to go check it out.

I bought an FBV mkII pretty recently to go with my LD300Pro. I didn't have the first iteration so I can't really compare/contrast for you, but here are some some of my impressions:

1) I love the ability to switch between different channels without leaning over to the amp and taking my hands off the bass. Set the channels to the settings I want in the sequence I want and whammo there they are
2) the tuner makes life easier - gives the note names and sharp/flat indications
3) Volume pedal is good for when you're first setting up - instead of turning all the knobs on the bass down I turn the volume pedal down, then slowly turn it up
4) The construction seems kinda... cheap. Its all plastic and lacks the mass to keep it in place. Its less substantial than I think it should be for the price.
5) The wah/volume switch at the toe of the foot pedal seems a bit tough to engage

overall, I'd recommend it if you don't already have a Line6 footpedal and you want something relatively cheap, simple and portable
