FYI: M9 v2.02 update

Just downloaded the 2.02 update [edit: for M9] and thought I'd let others know just in case you had no idea. Definitely not a 2.0 or 2.01 update but figured I'd do it anyways.

I should have been smart and saved my settings first.

where did you get it from? I don't see it on their page. Of course usually I am partly blind to things right in front of my face

http://line6.com/software/

I can't remember where I saw the information for the update, but if you go to the link above and under "Product" select M9, select your operating system, and click "Go," then the first search finding should be the v2.02 update.

Just found out, too, that it's just for the M9 (and not the M13). Revising thread title if I can....

Only a minor update. Fixes a bug in an echo, IIRC. Still want the LowDown bass synth in the M9/M13!!!

Yeah, I knew it would be. I just figured it would be worth sharing. I'm with you, though, on wanting that LowDown bass synth in there! It would make the filter section usable for me....

Line 6 uses their Monkey software to update their products, including the M9 and M13. It's available through their website. So, yes, updating the M9 is the same as the M13. I use a MIDI to USB cable that is plugged directly into my laptop and my M9.

updated to 2.02 just to keep things tidy.

still no candy for a "blend" dirt pedal stombox model.

I'd like to see them bring over the Tychobrahe wah from the Lowdown series too.
That thing is seriously nice in a bassy wah way.
all the others really drop levels and low end.

I think Line 6 was looking into porting the models from the LowDown to M9/M13 but they are different chip architectures so I'm not sure if a direct port is possible. Just a few little things would make the M9/M13 a must have for bassists. But I've stopped holding my breath after the 2.0.2 update. I think that makes it clear that the M9/M13 is in the maintenance release only phase.

This is all speculation on my part and since Line 6 doesn't comment on any future release, speculation is all we have.
