G50 Transmitter input problems

Guys,

I'm a big fan of line 6 and have owned numerous products made by you.

I bought the G50 about a year ago and noticed that the input jack wore away and now the cable doesnt lock.

After being on the phone with tech support they issued me a return authorization for a warranty repair as the shop i took it to was not able to fix the problem.

What I want to know is if the warranty repair team can replace the input jack with a metal piece instead or if you have any recomendations on a permanent solution.
