Getting rid of my SVT-II for the basspod live.. am I crazy?

I love the sound of the pod in to a power amp then my cabs more then I like my true SVT...

Should I get my head checked? ( my head as in me, not my amp)

No need for checking your head.
Sell the SVT head, buy more stuff you truly need or like better.

I no longer have a 70's SVT nor do I have an Acoustic 370 and the Fender Bassman here is in need of yet another rebuild....so they all have been replaced with a Line 6 Bass PODXTLive.

PS: The Behringer Bass V-Amp does a number of thing better than Line 6 but Behringer doesn't have as easy-to-operate amp & cabinet changer unless you do MIDI(IMO). The Behringer tube preamp gets REAL CLOSE to an SVT.

Don't know if you already know this but the model default microphone for the Rock Classic (SVT Model) is a U47 mic'd distant. What!!! I discovered this in POD Farm when I was mixing a record. Switched it to the RE20 close mic'd and got rid of the A.I.R. on the cab and it was GLORIOUS. I never like the SVT model on any Line 6 gear (besides the LowDowns) before and it took me this long to discover why.

Hey, thanks for posting this Rich! I've got POD Farm and have never been quite happy with the bass tone. Tried switching to the RE20 in close last night and all of a sudden the Rock Classic sounds right!
