LD150 new user thoughts

Hi. I just picked up a new LD150 last week and did a gig with it on Christmas eve. The sound was very good for most of the time - unfortunately it crashed a couple of times and I had to do a factory reset couple of times (in the middle of songs!). At home I checked it over and it seems that the fan is not operating - or does it only work when the system gets hot? In a gig situation I found it difficult to see what the knob settings were and as each of the modelled settings have different volume levels there was a bit of confusion. In any newer updates to this amp it would be good to have leds around the knobs with infinity pots so that each model can have separate knob settings that can be seen immediately - so for example on R&B I could turn up the compressor but when switched to Clean it would have a different compressor setting associated with that model - that can be seen immediately on the leds around the nob. I had an Akai DPS 24 recorder that used this system and found it very user friendly. Not sure what power supply is used but perhaps you could save some weight by using a switch mode power supply and using a light weight Neodymium speaker - The unit is a bit on the heavy side and perhaps some extra handles either side would help when carrying out of the car.

Most of what you are asking for in the last three quarters won't be happening to the current LowDown line. But I hear you for future products. You can put that all in as a feature request here. http://line6.com/company/contact/productFeedback

As far as the resetting problem, you should contact customer service. I have not heard of that happening and yes the fan only comes on when it gets too hot. It is very hard to make the fan come on.

Use the Channel Volume to save your individual amp tones volume so you can match each one and use the master volume for over all volume.

Thanks. I took the amp back and it was replaced. looking forwards to the next small gig that I can use it on. It sounds great at home. I did try out the roland cube 100 in the shop and it was very good but the ld150 has a little more poke but a bit heavier (than the cube). Line 6 UK and the shop advise that the Line6 combos are generally very reliable so lets see..
