Line 6 Relay G50 Problems

I got the Line 6 Relay G50 about three months ago. I can not remember what store it got it from and have looked but cant find the receipt. It was probably musiciansfriend.com or amazon.com though.

Anyway, when the unit was brand new it would occasionally cut out even though I was only about five feet from the reciever. But I would move it on my pocket or something and it usually cut back on.

Lately it will not work. I have put in two brand new sets of batteries, tried powering everything down, moving the sender/receiver nearer, further, and all the good things. What happens is sometime if I turn my volume knob all the way up on my bass and strike a string hard it will briefly cut on then go right back out. It only works if I strike a string hard, then as soon as a second passes it cuts out again.

I can hear the strings playing in my amp but very very softly. I know it is working and sending a tiny bit of signal to my amp because if I hit the mute switch on the sending unit the really soft sound of the bass stops completely. And like I said if I work the volume knob on the bass all the way up, then hit a string hard a blast of sound comes out for a second, then cuts off again. (Off being where I can barely hear something from the amp if I listen very closely).

Everything on my basses work fine. I can plug them into a regular cable and they sound perfect.

If anyone knows about this problem I would appreciate the advice. I imagine they are under warranty for sure, but I dont have the box and have to figure where I bought it from.

Thanks in advance!

I just got one and works great. However, I heard the chrod pluging into tje unit can go bad. Or it could be your jack input. Try moving the chord at the input jack and at the unit and see if it does it.

cutting out

I agree on the point of this board. Replace the cord from the bodypack. The Shure ulx cord works fine with the line 6 and it's cheaper.
