Line 6 support- a success story

I had some trouble over the weekend with a software issue after downloading the free Ilok PodFarm plug-in. It took a few days (with the weekend), but the Line6 support ticket system really works! My problem was solved (actually beyond my satisfaction) quickly and easily. Thanks Line 6!

Now if you guys can just incorporate the spdif tuning mute I keep requesting! Please??????

For the record, I'm using the following Line6 gear, all of which I'm very happy with:

Pod X3 (primarily demo sessions for bass, but I rely on it for guitar tracking! I also run Gearbox in conjunction with the X3 on my netbook when recording. The graphic interface is easier for me than the built in lcd...)

Lowdown 150 (my home practice rig- it's nice because I can get a better sense of how my pedals/instruments are going to sound in a full-scale live rig. I also like how the amp records when mic'ed up. I like micing it better than the modeled xlr out- it's sounds really BIG at low volume when mic'ed!)

PodFarm Platinum Plug-in for ProTools. (I honestly don't know how I got home demos done without this thing. It really sweetens up my acoustic guitar tracks and is a painless re-amp tool. I always record a parallel unaffected direct guitar & bass track so I can mess with reamping directly in pro tools later. Works great!)

All of this from a guy who used to be a Pod/modeling "hater". All I can say is that the new generation of Line6 stuff sounds a lot better. While I get the argument that models never = "the real thing", the X3 and LowDown sounds are great & authentic enough to get the job done at today's project studio budgets. I'm lucky enough to bring in my own (and rented) gear for most master sessions, but for the everday grind- Line6 is making my life cheaper & easier while still sounding great!

Couldn't agree more. I started using Line 6 when I purchased my first half stack for guitar, it was the Spider-II model and only cost me $600 for an amazing wall of modeled sounds.

Recently I purchased the Line6 Bass PodXT Live and was blown away by the tweakability and vast amounts of sounds I could get from it. Just the other day I thought: "Hrm, why not try it with my guitar as well as my bass", and sure enough its just as wonderful to use on this. I'm now splitting the 16 banks in half and using one half for guitar and one half for bass. If I tweak all 4 memories for each bank and add in each model system: (Amp/Stomp/Mod/Delay) that will get me 129 different sounds just from doing them in sequence! If I mix and match (Amp on/Stomp off/Mod on/Delay off) it will even give me XXXX more possibilities of tonal goodness! Guess I got my work cut out for me.

Can't say enough about Line6! Keep up the great work.
