Line 6 XDS Plus Wireless problems

Hello,

My brother bought a Line 6 XDS Plus Wireless for his guitar. It was working fine until one night, I plugged my bass through it to tune it up as I forgot my tuner at home (he also has a line 6/bogner tube head with Shortboard, and they are fine). I was able to tune fine. Now, he has been having problems with it, immediately after I tuned. Basically it sounds like sputter (or as if a battery is dying, like there is barely any signal going through). We tried brand new batteries, and no change. We also tried another cable from the wireless to the guitar, still no change.. could the bass have damaged one or both of the components? From what I know, the XDS Plus can be used for bass as well as guitar.... any thoughts, suggestions....????

I ran into this a few times. First make sure it's not the X2 cable to the transmitter. Those crap out pretty quick. I had a Bayou cable made, much better. After that, the problem I had was that when you screw the cable onto the transmitter, it can spin the jack and break the contact inside. I've had mine fixed twice, no trouble since. Now I leave the cable connected and don't wrap it around my strap when I plug it into my bass. The only other problem I've had is the battery connector. Sometimes you have to make sure it's pushed down tightly on the battery top.

Good luck! I love this wireless!
