M9: have the synths and filters been sorted for bass?

Kiaora,

I'm on the edge of buying an M9 and the main thing holding me back from purchasing would be the lack of bass synth or dilters that work well on bass.

Has this been tuned up recently?
Should I not worry about it and just buy it?

They're the same as they ever were, but I manage to make them sound good for me.

If you tried them before and didn't like them then, you wont like them now.

Having used the FM-4 extensively and now the M9 with bass for layering in synths-

Synths are a mixed bag. They work great - tracking is MUCH better in the M9 - no more neck pickup, tone down, above the tenth fret playing - I get virtually zero glitches unless I intend to. The main issue is finding usable sounds - Attack Synth, 2 or 3 wave forms in Synth-O-Matic, and a few others are all I use. The rest don't really work in a "bass" role without some pretty extreme filtering.

Filters are great. I don't personally like the whole funky-mutron-envelope-filter sound, but it seems like a decent impression to me. The Slow Filter with a bit of dirt after it is glorious, a huge component of my sound.

Pitch Glide and Bass Octaver are phenomenal. Great tracking, good tone, wet/dry mix. Yup.
