need a little help with my HD400 settings

I've had my HD400 for a little while now and I have found some really sweet tones on it, but now I'm trying to program in a synth tone that sounds good and I'm having a little trouble because there are too many options that I'm not to familiar with.

Something similiar to the synth sound in this would be great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pwus3_LBvTQ

but most importantly I need it to track the notes well including hammer-ons and pull offs.

Any idea where I should start for knob placement?

The LowDown Bass synth is a fully functioning synth. So if I were you, I would search around the net about how to use a synth. It helped me a lot to know what the various parameters do and control.

I've tried looking for guides online and I really can't seem to find anything pertaining to the synth on the amp... everything is either detailing keyboard synths/ plugin synths for software or asking if I want to buy a boss bass synth.

any links as to where to look?

I'm reading the manual for the head and I don't really understand the waveform, cuttoff, resonance, envelope and attack/ decay.

the major problem I'm having is that when I play certain notes come through, and others can't be heard at all.

I am sorry, just google each of those and read about what it does with a keyboard. It is exactly like a keyboard synth except that you are using a pitch detector to pull pitch and the way you hit the string will determine the dynamics.

If you can hear some notes and some notes not, that is pitch tracking. You can improve this by turning your bass up all the way. Roll of the tone to get the darkest tone possible. Use your neck pickup only if you have more than one pickup and play toward the neck as far as you can comfortably. This will give you the strongest fundamental note.

If you are trying to do speed riffs, it is not going to work really good. But you should be able to play fairly fast with no problems.
