New amp lineup?

I see in the new Musician's Friend catalog that they are blowing out the Line 6 amps. Does that mean they are coming out with a new line of updated bass amps (fingers crossed)?

I've always wanted to like them but have been underwhelmed when I play them. Let's hope, if they do, they come out with some killer stuff.

I'm no fan of the Line 6 bass amps. But you need to try them out before you make a decision. They sound very clinical, underpowered and the whole amp simulation on-stage concept does not carry out well in execution.

If they do a new lineup of bass amps:
* No amp simulation
* Lightweight tube preamp/Solid State with 500W (but then they just compete with the rest)

I like my ld300 pro ... i play in a cover band ... and use the preset buttons to quickly change the sound between songs going from STP to Beatles to Weezer to Doobie brothers ... it's a nice feature ... could I play without it... yeah ... would the audience notice... probably not. But I think it sounds better when I do... and that's all that matters

but i got mine used for less than 300 ... for that price i think i won and i believe many other would be as well vs paying retail.

that being said ... the one load in and out and super fast setup were priorities with me ... i have my bass, instrument cable, AMP ... and the dolly i use to move the amp.

I think the 110 combo is a cool little practice unit. However, the larger combos are waaaay too heavy and awkward. I never got past that to even give them a try on sound quality. Regarding the models I think their warm tube or whatever it is called sounds the best. I think it was modeled on an Eden. Based on my positive experience with the 110 combo I would not hesitate to give the new stuff a test run if they are in fact putting out a new revamped lineup.

NAMM is only 2-3 weeks away, so we may see something then.
