new bass products from line 6?

i'm looking into a new amp and i have my heart set on a lowdown 400w pro 2x10 combo amp, but i'm hesitent to buy it because i feel like as soon as i buy it the lowdown II will come out. So has anyone heard of another one coming out, maby like the spider IV with the built in looper, lcd display, and tons of presets? If anyone has heard anything please let me know,

thanks,
Bryan

Sorry , but no news, they are pretty secretive about their releases.

Anyway it is a bad time to buy stuff, because in a week we will have the 2011 winter namm, and that usually means a truckload of new products from a lot of brands.

I would wait until then just in case they announce something.

The summer namm is also dangerous but to a lesser extent.

Line 6 hasn't done anything revolutionary for bass in a long time. I'd be tempted to use their stuff (Pod into powered cab) but they juts don't seem to care much about bass players. There are juts so many more guitar players out there to sell their stuff to that they don't really need us.

I'd like a bass specific unit again, not a pod for all reasons like they do now. It's too slanted to guitar.

I'd say it's pretty safe to buy your rig. They won't have anything new - bass specific anyway - at NAMM or anywhere else. They've been repackaging the same thing over and over.

The new HD stuff is nice, but again, targeted for guitar players.
