No Bass Amp Models in the new Line 6 Pod HD series????

I love my X3 Live. It's been my preamp/direct box for almost a year now. When I heard about the HD, I was jazzed.

Now that it's public I see its just for guitards

C'mon Rich. When is the Bass Pod HD 500 coming out?

The Advanced Users Guide mentions a menu for the Variax Bass, so there is hope that bass amps will be added. With the exception of the X3, the bass models have been 6-9 months after the guitar models. I doubt we'll ever see bass specific hardware, but a bass add-on pack is highly likely.

Let's hope so.

For a long time I was using my X3 in front of a long list of bass heads. Then just in the past two months I've been running it as a preamp to my QSC 1804. It's been brilliant. I've got twice the clean power for half the cost. I've been using the spdif out into the spdif in on my Lexicon Ionix and getting great recordings, too.

The promise of an even more detailed modeling system is worth waiting for I guess.

The number of amps they add (if they add them) is going to be toned down significantly... I'm OK with that, so long as two of the models are an SVT blue line or B-15 and a GK 800RB or GK 700RBII. Model an Ampeg 1x15, 4x10, 8x10 along with those, and I'll be happy.

I imagine they will release some bass models. Unfortunately, it will be a long wait. I love my Pod XT, and have the bass pack, and had a feeling the next generation of pod was going to be really good (from what I read so far, that's true at least).
