question about original Bass Pod Pro/Floorboard

Hopefully someone visits this forum from time to time that might have have an answer for me....

I've been using a Pod Pro for years (basically since they first came out).

I picked up a Floorboard this past week when I was on vacation (I always wanted one but they were always out of my price range for what they did)... I found it collecting dust at a music store I visited and offered them an absurdly low price for it and they practically handed it to me on their hands and knees...I guess they wanted to make something on it.

Anyway, it all works perfectly except I noticed that the "wah" sound isn't really "bass friendly"...is anyone aware of a way of giving it some bottom end somehow or maybe there was a firmware upgrade that did this? I have never upgraded my Pod since I bought it as I never had the midi cables...if there is a change in the firmware, maybe I'll go out and pick up whatever I need to do the upgrade.

Thanks!

if you check out line 6 you can see if they had a firmware upgrade that fixed it, the pod xt wha is a little better if that matters.
good luck!

crentest,

Thanks...I was hoping that maybe one of the guys from Line 6 might eventually chime in and let me know if there was a fix for this in later FW upgrades. Otherwise the thing is pretty cool...it certainly is easier than having to turn around and fiddle around with little knobs, trying to see the little display in sunlight when one is playing outside (and even under bright lights inside).

i had the rack version and the edit software a fiew years ago, you could adjust the top and bottom end of the wah.
i don't know if that would help you out though.

Yeah, I found my manual the other day with the software disc in it...when I get a chance I am going to have to load it up and see what I can do...I think I will have to buy a couple of midi cables too.

midi cables are cheap.
make sure you get the in and out right or you can mess up the input's and or output's.
i got them backwards and couldn't get the pod to recieve midi.
