Relay G30 strap clip problem

Hi Rich and Aaron, I got a new strap and decided to remove the clip on my transmitter to turn it around to a sideways position so it would sit better on the new strap and allow the cable to follow the line of the strap. On the old strap the cable ran in the same direction so it came out at the bottom of the unit and followed the strap line. But when i clipped in on from the side of the strap the cable came out on the side and had to be routed back to the strap line. So i took off the clip and used the other position on the transmitter so that when clipped on from the side the cable came out along the direction of the strap, no part sticking out to be caught or damaged.
But all efforts to glue the clip back have failed? The metal part holds the glues great, but the case does not.
Is there a glue you can recommend, or the glue you use to fix it back.
Many thanks
Fergie

The plot thickens it seems. One of the techs has now came back with the assumtion that the clip can lock itself on to the transmiter. Now in doing so i find he is correct. The slots and the push/twist design of the clip and tranmiter bares this out. After fitting it on to the strap, and trying our best to shake it off, we failed, in both positions by the way. Applying the same highly thoughtout, technical and controlled procedure, this time with it on the strap and wired in to the bass, we failed again to shake it loose, so problem solved it seems.......or is it? Why the need to glue it in the first place?

I am not sure. I will try to check it out. I am glad it is working for you.

Thanks Rich, used it a couple of time now and it comes to bits easy off the strap when you want it to but on the strap it's solid.
I use high quality leather straps straps, the type that have more than one hole on them for height adjustment, and it is in using that hole that makes it secure.

Well knock me down with a feather!! The clip does indeed slide off so you can turn it round 90 degrees!!! A really good feature, shame it's not mentioned in the handbook or any other literature for the Relays!! Glad I read this thread...

I notice that there seems to be some glue on the clip from the factory, so that may be why it was thought that it needed to be glued again. Seems to work fine either way without glue though.

Great design, bad communication Line 6!
