-Y | I asked that question early on and Rich said that it would require twice the processing power to pan the stereo effects. No go on that deal. With an M13 you can use the effects loop to create parallel loops, but not with the stereo function.

| | | | YAWN... Rich asked for it, everybody got excited, we all dreamed of some small additions to make it the perfect thing for bass.
Well, I sold my M9 & my Pod HD500. Wake me up when there is an update at some point... |

1) A blendable OD/Distortion | i am happy if they just do an update and do just that 1. a fuzz or distortion with a blend function would be like godsend. |

and yes now u can use a DC adaptor to power yer M9

Bass PODxt was not rehashed, LowDowns were new models ground up, this went into the Bass Floor POD not POD 2.0.
We care about bass but guys, we are a much smaller segment of players and then guys like us that use effects and many pieces of gear is an even smaller segment. You know? We have not abandon us.

enjoy! | As I said in the other thread, we do not support using other than our power supply. Some others will totally work but you are on your own if you do. That's all.
Now on the M9 is totally broken for bass. As a bass player and not as an employee of Line 6. I totally disagree. I use the M9. The Bass Octaver is the best there is, imho, it can track a low E Octave. Crazy. I use Boost/Comp and Line 6 Drive, love it. Tron Up, I love using Octo verb to have a organ pedal like sound. the plate reverb is awesome on my fretless as is the tri stereo chorus. The synths are a blast to mix in with distortion to create wacked bass synth stuff.
Bass Players using M13/M9/M5 Chris Cheney (Jane's Addiction, Robben Ford), Justin Medal-Johnsen (NIN, Beck), Rhonda Smith (Prince, Jeff Beck), Jonathan Ahrens (Matt Redman L.A. Sessions), Joe Ayoub (Enrique Inglesias, Liz Phair), Tim Forman (Switchfoot)
I could go on. Now, does this mean that M9 is not totally broken for you? Not at all.
I agree, I want to see a dry through on the Ms distortion and I want the bass synth from LowDown ported over to the Ms and the HD series. Tim from Switchfoot is using that synth on the new record on the songs Selling the News and Rise Above It. He is dying to have that in the HD. So we are thinking about all these things and working on some of them as I type. We can't do everything for everyone at once.

The only thing that would be better is a bass specific M9. I'd buy that immediately. As it stands, the filters and dirt just don't seem to cut it on bass with some SERIOUS tweaking or help from another pedal on my board. Glad to hear you guys are listening though.

We have not abandon us. | This was written on a day when I was particularly grumpy and contemplating what we *could* have in a bass version of the HD. I didn't realize the Low Down and Bass Floor POD had new models. It seemed like reuse of the POD 2.0 "stuff".
Just frustrating because you guys have all the pieces to deliver something really good and realizing that I'm in a segment of the market that doesn't matter much. On the flip side, the same thing makes it easier for bassists to get gigs. So maybe we have the last laugh after all.
