Also was wondering if you've found people buying the M9 for use as a Midi controller since it's so well priced against other pro units?
Cheers | If it works, can't remember if we got that working or not, then the M9 just chops off the top row and FX unit 4. So the M9 is the lower left 6 switches on the M13.
I don't think people do that.

I don't think people do that. | Is it likely to cause any issues if I try it?

| | | | Couln't resist - bought one yesterday. Owned the GT-10B before and am very interested in the comparison!
One minor thing: If you want to use an expression pedal as a volume pedal, one of the three FX is killed for that!

So, it would stand to reason that it could handle a fourth effect. I would love if they hardcoded the "fourth effect" as a volume pedal. It would only be active 1) you have an expression pedal plugged in and 2) the expression pedal is assigned to volume. I think that would be a simple change to program and be very useful for M9 owners. Of course, I'm doing a bit of speculation on the internals of the M9. |

We thought about it for M13 as well. It just becomes to complicated on how to implement it. The volume pedal is in there for special effect stuff for guys to use who don't run a volume pedal. If you run a volume pedal all the time, why not just get a nice volume pedal?

Totally different customer. We also use all the DSP juice for effects only so they are all running wide open. Hang tough, someone will put it on sale at some point if you want to grab one.

I keep checking the stores around me for the M9, they have them in transit but nothing in stock yet. |

Came with 1.01 firmware. I upgraded to 2.02(?) using my Profire 610. I had a problem trying to upgrade using a USB MIDI sport.

It's available on the M13, M9 and MM4. The X3 has everything but the kitchen sink and these two models.
Thanks! |

Adam | Did you manage to update it correctly?
Got mine yesterday and it came with the old software. I downloaded Monkey, registered the product and tried to update the M9 and... I'm also having problems:
The process ran for about 80 % and then crashed. The second run was succesfull - I had a song open in Logic 8, maybe that was the reason. |
