We were discussing Robert DeLeo's rig over in the bassists section, and it seems to be a consensus that his tone rules. We know he's using a POD into power amps, and he claims to duplicate the sound of his studio set up (a mixture of Fender Bassman and Marshall amps) perfectly. Would you by chance have anymore insight on his setup?

maybe if it was a guitar forum...

I'm reaching out to our AR folks to see what we can find out about Robert's rig and settings.
Thanks,
Aaron Quote:

But, I am going to contact his tech. What do you guys want to know?

They are a blending of clean and dirty.
That is basically it. STP is my favorite band of all time followed by Zep. I have seen them 5 or 6 times and I must say, he has never sounded better live. I was actually floored. I am personally not a big fan of Bass POD. I love my LowDowns.

Thanks again!

I've seen Rich at work, though I don't know Aaron. He's a good guy, seems to genuinely care, and a bassist. How bad could that be? Rich, you still have that Burgundy Mist Tyler 5 hanging around? |

Thanks again! | How about just getting ahold of some of his patches? Seems like it could be arranged easily enough? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
