Guitar POD 2.0, Bass POD, Bass POD Pro, POD XT with all the model packs, Bass POD XT Pro, POD X3, Variax 700 bass, and a few effects. Even after all this gear, I don't use it that much. There are too many parameters to play with.
I think my favorite piece of gear from Line 6 is the M13. The interface is great. But it doesn't have some bass-centric effects that I'd like. If the rumored model packs for the M13 come about, I'll probably get an M13.
I always thought that something like a Tonebone built into the floor modeler chassis would be a good pedal for bassists. Four EQ settings from the knobs and then a single effect available with just a single tweak knob similar to what was on the original Bass POD. Tuner out, Maybe an effects loop. The expression pedal could act as a volume pedal. Basically a versatile pedal that is simple and can easily blend in and augment existing pedals already in a bassists arsenal.
With chips getting faster and faster it's easy to cram more and more features into a product. But I think that bassists just want something simple, well built and reliable.
Anyways, just a thought. I really like Line 6 gear and think it's amazing if you consider the bang for the buck value. |

What do you think the M13 would need as far as bass centric pedals.
One, I want real bad is a Clean Octaver.

One to give the Tony Levin squash and a clean bass-friendly comp like an EBS multicomp. Love to see my favorite pedal modeled, the Electronix Submarine, but I don't know how well the modeling process would work with it.
I didn't have good luck with the mutron model on bass, but maybe I didn't play with it enough. |
