Post Tips for getting Eden growl with a Lowdown.

Hello,

I've got an LD300 and wanted to know if you have any tips for getting a good Eden growl with a Lowdown.

Also, I was wondering what bass you guys used as your template, when programming the "Meshuggah" preset on this series of amps.

(I have an Ibanez SR705).

Keep up the good work.

try as you might, the Eden sound, I.e. "clean" ain't happenin'. I had an Eden Nav, and now a LD 150. The SVT sound is spot on, the B15 almost so.

I actually like the "clean" setting, but I agree that it is a bit odd sounding.

I like the "R&B" sound for an WT400-ish growl actually. For testing basses out in stores with a stock LD300, I turn on the factory "Rock" preset and switch the model knob over to "R&B". I modified this sound and used it DI'ed (along with a mid-boosted Ampeg sound) on my band's album.

I think the guy who did that patch used an Ibanez actually.

The Eden model is not my fav either, but that model and R&B were the main two used on about half the last Maroon 5 record. I have a couple guys I run sound for live and they get it sounding real good.

The clean is my favorite tone on the amp... to me it sounds a lot closer to eden's nemesis series then it does to an actual eden.
