Uh oh line 6 m9 problems.

Hey Rich, i purchased a used m9 about 3 months ago and have been gigging and loving it ever since.

I had a gig last saturday and noticed a little bit of liquid got spilled on it near the knobs, I unplugged it, and cleaned it up and finished out the gig with no problems. However at the gig the next night it started acting up.

About half way through the gig, the dim lights on the bottom row of buttons stopped lighting up, then about 20 minutes later the top row stopped working! after that happened I unplugged it for the rest of the gig.

I let it sit for a few days hoping the problem would go away, but after plugging it in again to I find the same problem, plus the FX2 A and B don't work at all anymore!

What should I do? I bought the pedal used so I doubt it's covered under any type of warranty, and I only paid 240 for it. Is it repairable? What's my best option here.

Try the wet phone/ipod trick and put it in a large ziplock bag and cover it in dry instant rice. Let it soak for 48 hours and see if it works when it's done. worth a shot, right?

Kinda sounds like you have a problem I have helped a lot of artist with. Sometimes the ribbon cable connectors in the unit come loose. I would open it up and be sure those are seated.

If that doesn't work, email me at richrenken@line6.com and I will see what I might be able to do.
