XDR-95 Wireless closeout?

Hey... what's the deal with the XDR-95 wireless being on clearance everywhere? Is it being discontinued, or replaced with a new model?

Thanks for any insight... my system is working GREAT and I'd hate to see it's availability just go away.

If a new version is in the works... just about the only minor issues I can offer with the current system is that 1) the battery cover on the transmitter is not very easy to get open and closed - I always feel like I'm going to break it, and 2) if I switch off the transmitter to effect a remote mute, the receiver will 'pop'... like a static crackle... every few minutes until the transmitter is turned back on.

I was talking with my buddy last night, who does the ordering for a lot of the gear at the local dealer, and he told me that there are new models coming out. So, he ordered me an XDS-Plus for $279.99, as it sounds like the newer models are gonna be a bit more pricey.

I think I'm going to try and see if I can order a spare XDT4 transmitter for mine... the battery compartment is awkward enough that it'd be just about impossible to switch in a new battery between songs if necessary, but I could easily see quickly switching to a different transmitter with a fresh battery.

Did your friend have any insight as to whether the new system would be compatible with the current one? (wondering if I can't get a spare transmitter whether the new one might work with my receiver.)

I don't work with the wireless stuff. I will see if I can find out.

The link here is of the coming product for Europe, it runs at a frequency that allows it to work all over the world.

If you love the X2, and I do, then I would grab some accessories and extra parts, it is the wireless for the states.

Glad I read this. I was going to get an XDS - Plus but these look like they fix a couple things - not the least of which is the mini plug - 1/4" special cable. What a pain in the A**! I want to be able to take any 1/4" cable I have and use it.

When will the Relay™ G30 be available in the US? How much?

So, the Relay G30 looks nice - 1/4" cables, no outer antenna, small. Why would I get the XDS Plus instead of waiting?

I was answering Kevin.

I cannot talk about when or if they will be available in the US. Sorry, dig my job.

I did purchase a spare XDT4... although for about $120 more I could have gotten a whole spare unit at the closeout pricing. I'm amazed that the US supply channel is getting cleared without a rack mount replacement apparently on deck. Is there some risk in terms of frequency band utilization going forward?
