Here is an outboard preamp pedal from Dave Hall. I purchased this to use at my church using the phantom power going direct to the board. It worked great like this for about a year but apparently it requires more current than the desk can provide and the DI out just has noise. Dave was kind to send me a new DI board but it only worked for a couple weeks. The 1/4" line out still works perfect so the best use for this pedal is in front of an amplifier powering it with either a 9-12VDC power supply (which I did not purchase with the pedal) or just use a 9 volt battery. This is a powerful e.q. without adding any coloration to the natural tone of the instrument. Tuner switch mutes the output.
