That said, I'm not a fuzz guy, so I'll pass. Thanks for the offer though! |

A lot of guys have been really happy with the pedal as is, but usually they're using it to overdrive an already broken up tube amp. The ones using it with a really clean rig usually want the extra knob, unless they have a particularly fat bass, or darker sounding rig.
I add the knob on the face of the pedal, between the A logo and the Out triangle, and it's a separate volume for the dry lowend. It's $50 to add to a pedal that's already out there, or $30 to get it put on while I'm building one for somebody(since I don't have to take it apart first).
I plan to add the knob this year once I figure out some way to squeeze it on there. Concentric's aren't possible with the two different pot tapers necessary, without huge commitments, so I'll have to figure out a way to add a small pot or some other idea. Or I may just hold off and put that on the Pro 2 button version that I'm doing soon.

I think that's a really cool idea to have the onboard blend. Since writing that little review, I've used a Boss LS-2 as a blend pedal with the TightDrive and had good success. It's just a bit of a PITA to have another pedal to get the sound I was looking for :-) Overall though, I really enjoy the tone the TightDrive imparts on the sound...it's just the low end loss that kills it for me.
Perhaps I won't sell the pedal yet and send it to you instead...how long does the conversion process typically take? |

You can hear it in the last section of the song in my signature. I was playing fingerstyle on a fretless jazz with semi-dead strings. It sounds a bit more "spanky" in person, though. The clean blend lets you retain all of your tone too, so it's a win-win. Unfortunately I think the only solid recording I have of it is just playing this vamp.... I'll try to find a live clip of it in another song...

Pardon the playing...
I was using a 6-string fretless that sounds a lot more "honky" and jazzy than the jazz bass. Here's the clean sound to compare. |

If you want to do it, just email me at contact@amptweaker.com and we'll work it out. I have the pots necessary in stock.
thanks,
