FS: Cusack Tap-A-Phase Pedal V2.2 Cusack Tap-A-Phase boutique phaser / phase pedal, with lots of twists. Some minor signs of wear but in excellent shape. No velcro. Originally sold brand new for $300. Selling for $135 + shipping. The signal is analog, but the pedal has many functions and presets that offer up a ton of options. You can just jump in, twist knobs, flick switches and quickly find good sounds. If you want to know what you're actually doing, there is an online manual here (mine is the v2.2 version, with all the exact same functions but the toggle switches are in the back beside the input/output instead of on top, and the "wave" and "options" knobs are on opposite sides): http://cusackmusic.com/Manuals/Tap-A-Phase.pdf Some things that set it apart ... There are three modes: Feedback, Vibe, and No Feedback. The "Color" knob controls the center frequency of the phasing. There are 24 preset waves accessed by a toggle switch to access one of three banks and the "Wave" switch to access eight different waveforms per bank. Some changes in waveforms are very subtle, but they are noticablely different (especially on slower tempos). You can save your own presets simple by holding the Tap Tempo and Bypass switches down. The unmarked (i.e. options) knob is a Tap Divide when pedal is engaged. In Bypass mode, the same knob "controls fade-in, all the way up to 4 seconds." A nice twist on the tap delay is the "brake" function ... set a fast speed and then hold the tap tempo button down, and the tempo gradually slows down ... very natural sounding, like a wind up toy losing steam. Next time you hold it down, the tempo gradually speeds up. The switches are soft switches ... no hard click. Runs on typical "Boss-type" 9V adaptor or pedal power supply (e.g. 1-Stop, Voodoo Labs) - not included. Reason for selling .... honestly, I'm more a simple plug-and-play kind of guy. lol I fully intended to buy a new MXR Phase 90 .. one knob, one switch, very limited options. I saw the Cusack Tap-A-Phase at a great price and decided to give it a spin ... however, it's a bit too much pedal for me and I'd be happier with something more straightforward. Will trade for cash + MXR Phase 90 in excellent condition (which I'd place the value of at $65 used, so ...) ![]() ![]() |
