Crappy pedals usually don't get press in Bass Player magazine I think he was actually trying to help you sell yours ?

i read reviews lots of different places myself ...

i do value the opinions of ' players ' here a lot ... thinking this forum is more of a Real World test ... in contrast to those whom are paid to do reviews ...

we do have a Section for that ...

my review ...

The Fission works as advertized ...

it does track very well ..

noise gate is helpful and works well ..

i think the distortion knob should work in a more linear fashion ... seems to come on to suddenly .. ? distortion sounds OK , Tone control helps flavor to taste ..

i have found that it does work best at emulating that chuncky guitar type sound if i used a pick .. which i haven't done on bass since the 70's .. !

input gain control is nice

extra outputs make it more versatile

why am i selling .. decided to put a little more effort into my guitar playing .. and i now have a few more guitar fx pedals .. versus using the Fission to ad guitar lines in parallel with bass parts for recording ...

and yes i was also in sales for years .. product knowledge is important .. with access to multiple review sites , i would be doing my own research ... as i did before purchasing ..
