I've always been curious about the 8-but duck.
How close can it get to those super Nintendo sounds.

I think if you add a gated fuzz in front it would be perfect for those sounds!

Hey Jeff, I know you've owned the Malekko Bit as well. How does this compare to it? Differences?

I'm VERY interested.

Differences: more ring mod-ish but still definitely a SRR based sound, no output level issues as it has a volume knob.

The frequency range is a bit narrower, but between the two switch settings it's still quite variable.

Very interested in the duck. How does it compare to the bugcrusher?

See my comments above. IMO the Malekko Bit sounded very close to the bugcrusher but was noisier and had low volume issues. The 8-bit duck is a little less filtered/more ring mod like in nature, but sounds very good. Features and build quality are perfect.

Another thing that came up regarding the 8-bit Duck since my asking price is higher than a new (stock) one:

I asked Luke to do some custom options for me including top jacks and more notably the clean blend. That added to the cost which is why my asking price is higher than the cost of a basic one new.

The clean blend is particularly useful for bass on this type of effect I find.

The Fatman is all that remains here! Price drop as a result.
