MXR Phase 90 Block Logo-Vintage, made in 1978 (Pre dunlop)
This is the real deal, not a reissue. The pot is numbered 1377827, which is a '78 pot #. (xxx78xx where the numerals with "78" is the year.) These were made like this from '77-'84.
Pedal has dings etc but is working great. Have used it on many gig since I got it in 2004 without fail.
And . . . it has been modified to take a standard Boss style 9 volt Power supply, so you don't have to worry about batteries! (Jack on bottom end.)
In case you are wondering, does it sound better than the new ones? YES! I was horrified at trying a current one at GC after using this for 9 years; this is much warmer and organic sounding, less strident; just better. And if you're like me, you've probably found that the Block version works better than the script for bass (which can sound thin), so this makes for a great phaser!
Two other notes:
1. Original knob replaced with a chicken head style knob.
2. Missing 2 of 4 screws on back. (I bet you could replace these easily, I just never thought it was an issue.)
