I'm selling a Roland
VB 99 VBass module with the Roland PDS-10 stand. The
VB 99 is in excellent condition and comes with the GK3-B pickup as well as the stock 12 foot connecting cable.
The VBass system consists of a hex pickup which you mount on your bass (the GK3-B). The pickup is connected to the
VB 99 via the supplied multi-pin cable. The
VB 99 is essentially a very extensive/intensive modeling unit- it can output models of a huge number of different basses, amps and effects. Because the sounds are actually models, the response time (especially compared to the old pitch to midi setups) is fantastic. You basically play the modeled sounds just like an effect unit, with incredible accuracy. There is also, among other patching options, a USB out that allows you to use the
VB 99 as an interface for your computer. The amp and effect models can also be accessed via a direct analog input in case you don't want to mount the GK3-B on your bass. However, the GK3-B is the key to really getting the most out of the VBass module. I don't have pics yet but the unit is pristine.
The
VB 99 also has many synth type patches on-board that sound very good. You can also output your regular bass tone separately, simultaneously or not at all.
The PDS-10 is a heavy-duty tripod type of stand (just like a cymbal stand) that allows you to mount the
VB 99 in a more accessible location than on your table or top of your desk.

$149.00 for the PDS-10
the GK3-B can purchased as a $100.00 extra with the
VB 99 but sells on its own for 219.00.
