just picked one up recently too. they are very nice. can use it to shape your tone overall or use it to give you a nice boost when you want. maybe others have had a different experience but don't bother getting an AC adapter. very noisy for me with the AC adapter in two different buildings - maybe in a really controlled electrical environment like a studio it might work but not in the real world from my experience. no problems on battery power.
