| Tech21 VTbass pedal w/ Putman mods
My Putnam Guitar modded Tech21 VTbass pedal w/ DI + Ground Lift + Pre/Post Switch and Blend Knob is for sale. In great condition - $195 shipped CONUS!
I wanted the ability to have lots of clean gain to use this pedal as a preamp to operate with a rack power amp. This pedal has an additional mod explained here by the man himself:
"I was able to add an additional opamp in the circuit that now gives you 5x gain boost on the clean signal when the effect is on and using the blend.
If you need to lower the clean side gain, there is a pot inside to do so. I have set it to maximum gain, so if for any reason you desire to turn it down, just remove the bottom cover with the 4 screws and turn down the clean gain. It will actually go down just a bit below unity when all the way down.
I felt this was the best way to do this, and it gives you some more flexibility, just in case you did not like where I had it set.
The blend knob will take some getting used to as far as adjusting the VT level (Upper Concentric) and the Blend (Lower Concentric).
