I have worked with dozens of video schools and I'm a very active free-stuff user, however after all that I'm still signing in for Adam's web site.
You know why?
Cos he puts you on the next level in the most efficient manner and in the MINIMUM amount of time. You might spend years going by yourself or with some affordable private teacher - but I will do the same progress within 2 months like I did with Adam's old MusicDojo courses. Adam has a tremendous amount of teaching experience, and he's done a huge amount of work to make this site better than anything else you find in the internet, free or paid.
You can't just go and buy a couple of years to make your life longer, can you? That's why I'm going to subscribe now.
Sorry Adam, I wanted to be the first in line but I'm 4 days late |

| | | thank you, rozeg and ctc564! looking forward to working with you!
it's very exciting to see the community taking shape!!! thanks for everyone's support and kind feedback. this has really been a labor of love and one of the most important things to me is that it ultimately helps bass players to find and build their own identity. the site will continue to take shape and grow as time passes... i don't want this to be a static collection of video lessons that never changes. what's cool is that since it's web-based, i can continually add to, improve, and expand the library. that was one of the reasons i wanted to try and centralize everything in one new location. new lessons and study content are going to be constantly added so that the site will grow with the students. i hope that each of you will find something there that will help you to get to the next level. if you have suggestions for future lessons, feel free to let me know via the site or here in the forum.
happy bassing!!!
adam

Interesting, too, that I heard about the site from Bass Specialties' email list, even though I'm a member right here!
Thanks Adam, I'm so so excited to finally do a "course" of sorts. I've been watching random videos and trying to teach myself for too long. |

Sorry Adam, I wanted to be the first in line but I'm 4 days late | This is spot on! You can't put a price on knowledge......consider this, if you spent $25 BUT in return you learned something that totally transformed your thinking about a concept or technique would it be worth it for you? I think most would say yes. Adams a world class teacher and a super nice guy as well. I had an issue with one of the PDFs and he handled it promptly and personally. Thanks again Adam and keep up the good work.....

For those that are using the site; any bandwidth issues or has it been smooth sailing? I used Norm's site last year and it was surprisingly zippy. |

I had the same amount of delays as if I watched a YouTube video with 720p (HD).
Actually, as Adam is constantly improving his web site, I would suggest him to add the option to change vid quality/res, like on YouTube they have 720p, 480p, 360p and 240p.
I would use 480p all the time, my monitor isn't HD-capable anyways |

I used Norm's site last year and it was surprisingly zippy. | for what it's worth, i'm using the exact same video streaming/delivery service as norm, so the performance should be no different. (we have the same web developer.) after doing much exhaustive research and trying out other sites that had very 'iffy' video delivery the decision was choose this service because of the performance level and consistency they offer.
whenever my videos are uploaded to the server, they are automatically transcoded into 320p, 480p, and 720p versions of the video to be able to accommodate varying levels of bandwidth that the users might have on their end. my understanding is that the service figures out the bandwidth and then uses whichever encoded version will offer the best performance. so far i'm pretty happy with the results.

I confirm that I got the 720p version every time, and to me the manual setting to 480p would be very convenient.
I will also use this chance to say I learned A LOT during my month of premium membership, and I also have set up a practice routine and a practice log as you recommended - and it has totally improved my daily routine and even my attitude! |
