Hey Adam! I love this song and want to play it but itīs impossible for two reasons: sweeping and that 16th note pattern. I saw this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvk_M...eature=related where you talk about it and it looks impossible and i mean IMPOSSIBLE haha, any exercise or something you recommend to get it???

thanks, gzarruk. so glad you like that tune!

honestly, that tune for me is the most difficult to play of all the tunes on the 'liminal' album... i spent a LOT of time practicing the different groove segments of that tune before i recorded it. the 16th note pattern in that tune requires fingerstyle endurance and accuracy, and i spent a lot of time over the years coming up with and practicing 16th note ostinato patterns in an effort to build up more headroom with my technique. in that particular groove, every note is plucked, so when you string-cross you have to make sure that you are playing with enough motion to prepare for the reach for each adjacent string. as is the case with so many things technique-oriented, it is best to master the phrases at slow tempos with very deliberate and legato motions before increasing tempos.
