dear adam,
i have recently expierienced a problem with my yamahabb615.
for the volume know when i tighten it with my allen key it seems to come loose in about ten minutes what am i going to do?

Do you think it is possible that you may have stripped the set screw in the knob? If you did you can replace them.

That is what it sounds like to me. You can always try a drop of Blue Loctite on the cap screw threads (make sure it's not the Red Loctite!). Alternatively you could dry a drop of clear fingernail polish on the threads. If it's indeed stripped, the real solution is just to replace the knob.

keith and phil are probably right on... check the set screw first. i suppose it's possible (but unlikely) that you have a problem with the pot post, but i'd be surprised if it was that. you could also try swapping the volume knob with one of the others to see if that cures the problem. that way you would know for sure it was with the volume knob set screw.

I should note that with a split shaft pot you can have this problem if you over-tighten the set screw as well so don't get carried away. If the pot shaft does not have agap in the middle of it that is probably what happened.
