Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, tomorow im going to play with some dudes, where gonna play like, a guy starts and the others play along. TBH im very nervous, there are going to be some ppl watching, so i wanted to ask you guys some cool chords (or other stuff) that i can practice until tomorow, some "good for everything" and rock chords that i can have on my sleeve and may need to use them.

Greetings and thank you[[]]

Without knowing the improvisational styles of the guys you play with it's hard to say.

I's suggest farmiliarizing your self with pentatonic scales, as they can go over lots of chords and progressions. If these Dudes are guitarists, and not very advanced, you'll probably end up in the keys of E and A most often....

ultimately, you'll have to just watch where they fret and use your ears a lot.

Without knowing the types of songs, listing basslines seems kind of useless. A bassline that works for one song may be entirely inappropriate for others.

That said, playing variations of 1-5, 1-5-8 and 1-3-5 can work for blues based songs, also tossing in the b3 for minor blues.

Like was said before, knowing the pentatonic scale for each chord being played will be very helpful.

Good luck.
