12 Bar Blues Bass Line / Sightreading Practice

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm stuck at home due to the ice storm hitting the northwest arkansas right now , so I decided to write out a bass line I was jamming on and post it up here as a sightreading exercise. It's a not too complicated expansion on a basic 12 bar blues bass line, so you should be able to use your ears and feel out a lot of it. Also if you play most of it in the first position it could be good for pinky practice.

Enjoy!

It's the blues. You can play it at whatever tempo you want...

Yep! But just as a reference, I was tending to play it around 100 bpm.

Thanks for posting. The second octave riffs were new for me. I gotta start going there more often.
