Greetings all, as stated in the main title...I'm seeking some advice on practicing.For some time now,all i've been doing as "practice" is doing premutations,running some scales with a metronome(without really knowing how to apply them) and then finally playing along with a few tones on guitarpro...i am starting to feel like i can progress so much more if i came up with a more effective system to practicing but i'm almost totally clueless as to where to start out.My current music preferences are funk,blues,fusion and rock.
Unfortunately i do not know how to read notation.
With that said,i would really appreciate advice on what practices i should implement into a new practice system.(fingerboard mapping,technique,applying scales and chords musically..etc etc)
i've honestly no idea where i should start and how to set about striving to become a better player and musician in general.Please shed some light on my plight~
