Animated Flash Card Program?

Sign in to disble this ad
My search-fu has failed me. I need help.

I am interested to know if there is a program that puts up a note for you play, maybe combining a metronome beat, that would show the next 1 or 2 notes, to simulate how you might read-ahead chords on a sheet. But the note order would be completely randomized. All in a measure to help with learning the fret board.

Does such a thing exist?

I have found nothing on bass clef. Asked our Music Store to see if they could obtain bass clef flash chords - note on one side picture of the bass fretboard on the other - like there is for piano. Nothing.

Now there are all kinds of treble clef and bass clef programs for piano and some even for 6 string guitar, on the Internet, but for bass fretboard - good luck.

Hope someone has one.

Bass clef wouldn't even be necessary. At the simplest, you have a metronome beeping booping, you see the current note you are playing now (A, B, C, Eb, etc) as a normal letter, and the next note two notes, so you can practice reading a chord mark ahead of time, and learn the fret board.

Randomizing the order would prevent the foreknowledge aspect, and maybe speed up fret board learning.

Adding in bass or treble clef to the display wouldn't be a bad idea, but I am just trying to think of creative ways to encourage my learning of the fret board.
